Dhanesh – Bonded for Life | Handcrafted Bamboo Wall Art

Dhanesh – Bonded for Life | Handcrafted Bamboo Relief Wall Art | 12" × 12"

Two great hornbills face each other on a flowering branch, with layered cut-bamboo bodies, painted casques and finely burnt feather detail. Dhanesh is the Indian name for the hornbill. Hornbills are famously faithful partners, and the bird is the pride of the Northeast, celebrated in Nagaland's Hornbill Festival. That makes this piece a natural symbol of lasting love.

Among the blossoms of the Northeast forests, two hornbills meet, partners for a lifetime. Hand-cut bamboo birds with finely burnt feathers rest on a painted branch across woven bamboo mat. It's a heritage keepsake of love, loyalty and togetherness.
