Ghar Phera – The Way Home | Handcrafted Bamboo Wall Art

Ghar Phera – The Way Home | Handcrafted Bamboo Relief Wall Art | 8" × 12"

The scene shows a man returning with bamboo fishing traps, a mother walking with her baby on her back, and goats grazing near a stilt house in the hills. Stilt houses like this are part of everyday Northeast life: the tong ghar of Tripura and the chang ghar of Assam. It's a quiet, warm moment of homecoming, and that feeling is the heart of the piece.

Fish traps over his shoulder, a little one on her back, and the goats wandering ahead. Every evening in the hills ends with the walk home. Hand-cut bamboo figures on a woven bamboo mat celebrate simple village life and the comfort of returning to where you belong.
