Hojagiri – The Art of Balance | Handcrafted Bamboo Wall Art

Hojagiri – The Art of Balance | Handcrafted Bamboo Relief Wall Art | 8" × 11"

This piece shows Hojagiri, the dance of Tripura's Reang (Bru) community. Women balance a bottle on their heads while standing on earthen pots and holding plates. Seated musicians play the khamb drum and the sumui flute below them. It's performed during the Hojagiri festival in autumn, and it's a beautiful, lesser-known story to bring to buyers.

Poised on earthen pots, a bottle balanced on her head and plates in hand, she dances to the drum and the flute. Hand-cut bamboo figures on a woven bamboo mat celebrate Tripura's Hojagiri, a reminder that grace lives in perfect balance
